In the center the memorial stone with a plaque, W. Bourquin to the right of the plaque. Two groups of people: on the left and in the right background. Between the two groups trees. Behind the group on the right a house. Georg Schmidt (1709-1785), born in Kunewalde, was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine in South Africa from 1737-1744. He served in Söte Mecks Valley and Sergeant Revier (Baviaanskloof, i.e. Genadendal). In 1744 he went back to Europe and two years later he married Maria Wahovsky[?] in Herrnhaag.
