An early "mini mall" at 3649 Beverly Boulevard is occupied by a Barkies Sandwich Shop, featuring a larger than life image of a mascot named the 'Ponderous Pup,' and Broering Tire Co. Also seen is a Foster and Kleiser billboard for Old Schenley bourbon. Photograph dated November 28, 1950.
