Photograph caption dated January 26, 1957 reads "Mrs. Carl E. Hittle (center), retiring president of the Women's Guild of Trinity Community Presbyterian Church of North Hollywood, was honored on Jan. 23 with the presentation of an Honorary Membership in the Presbyterian Board of National Missions. Mrs. Elwood M. Fairchild, left, the newly installed president of the guild, made the presentation. Mrs. Frank von Christierson, right, pinned the award on Mrs. Hittle. The award represents a $50 gift to the Board of National Missions in honor of the recipient. Mrs. Hittle's outstanding leadership and service will thus be remembered nationally."
