Description
Photograph of a statue depicting a discus thrower for the Tenth Olympic Games, October, 1932. The statue resembles a Greek figure as the discus thrower is nude. He has short, curly hair and his muscular body is bent at the hip and twisted toward the foreground. His left arm holds his knee for support as his right arm winds back the heavy discus for leverage. The statue is displayed on a circular, stone pedestal which reads " -of the Xth Olympics- Los Angeles U.S.A- 1932".
