Photograph was edited for publication purposes Dick Whittinghill was born on March 5, 1913. He was an American film and television actor, recording artist and radio disk jockey in the United States. He died on January 24, 2001. Photograph caption dated July 6, 1965 reads "Tony Longobardi, janitor at Whittinghill's Restaurant, explains how two gunmen bound him and Mrs. Marilyn Thomas, right, with black electrician's tape this morning. Note open safe at right from which bandits took an estimated $10,000. Mrs. Thomas holds white tape with which they were gagged." The restaurant is in Sherman Oaks.
