Description
Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing ruins of buildings on Powell Street from Market Street, with the Columbia Theater on the left and new Flood Building on the right, 1906. The electrical lines which extend from the electrical pole in the foreground on the left have snapped and now hang low over the see of bricks and metal pieces on the sidewalk below. The Columbia Theater stands across the street from the electrical pole on the left with most of its exterior walls lying in piles of bricks along the street. The damage seems to extend down the street on the right, but the new Flood Building appears to be in tact.
