Description
Title supplied by cataloger.; The original photographic print is a reproduction.
The "Castle," a large Queen Anne revival style residence, was originally located at 325 S. Bunker Hill Avenue. Built around 1882, and once owned by Daniel Donegan, the home was moved to the Heritage Square Museum in March, 1969 to be restored. Approximately seven months after the building was relocated, it was completely destroyed by a fire, believed to have been set by arsonists.
Exterior view of the former Bunker Hill residence, known as the "Castle," shown after it was relocated to Montecito Heights, Los Angeles. A sign indicates that Hunter's Construction Co. is overseeing the structural restoration.
