Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated November 20, 1953 reads "Like a Christmas tree. All 'lit up,' the multiple-PBX board signifies the stream of calls which pour into the Valley Police division through most nights. Telephone and radio operators Mary Anderson and Gladys McCauley efficiently connect the incoming message with the correct police unit for advice and disposition." Valley Police headquarters was located at 6240 Tyrone Avenue, Van Nuys.
