In this audio recording Peter F. Drucker interviews Warren Bennis in his audio book, “The Nonprofit Drucker.” This tape is part of the series, “Managing and Developing Yourself.” Drucker begins by introducing Bennis as a distinguished professor of business administration at the University of Southern California. He describes three important skills a leader should have: ambition, expertise, and integrity. He describes the importance of learning from pressure and bad managers. Bennis says the best way to learn is the emergence technique; that a person should perform a task completely by himself. He talks about learning and reflecting on bad experiences, and growing from them. He ends the interview by discussing the influence of having a mentor or someone to get productive feedback from.
