Description
Shown is a postcard of St. Joseph Academy's west garden located, on the corner of Ninth and G streets in 1910. The building was erected in 1861 and St. Joseph's was incorporated as a high school in 1875 by the Sisters of Mercy. In 1949, the original building was torn down to make way for the construction of a larger classroom structure, altering the surrounding grounds.
