Description
Sterling silver ceremonial trowel, Los Angeles County Court House. Obverse: engraving of symbols (hourglass, all-seeing eye, compasses and quadrant), and text: "Presented to Hiram Newton Rucker, Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons by the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, Cal on the occasion of laying the corner stone of the Court House of Los Angeles County on April 26th A.D. 1888." Reverse: Maker's mark (bee), stamp: (sterling; Geo. Shreve & Co., San Francisco)
