Instead, Samuel J. Sugerman, executive vice president of May Co., handed over the ingredients to Jesse W. Tapp, chairman of the board of Bank of America, a representative of the Community Chest. Between them, amid 600 pounds of butter, 112 gallons of milk, 120 dozen eggs, 1,000 pounds of flour, 1,300 pounds of sugar, 24 pounds of salt, five quarts of vanilla and 50 pounds of baking powder, are Olivia Solis, 4, and Samuel Floren, 5, Salvation Army Day Nursery. The nursery will be among recipients."
