Photograph caption dated July 16, 1964 reads, "Everett McKinley Dirsken, his deep voice sonorous and his tousled white hair unruly as ever, intoned the greatness of Arizona's Sen. Barry Goldwater last night as the Illinois senator placed Goldwater's name in nomination for President." Note: This photograph was taken at the Republican National Convention of 1964, which was held in San Francisco.
