Photograph of an interior view of the Ray Day Piston Factory in Seattle, Washington, 1930-1940. A large machine is at left and a man is working to make pistons. The machine is made mostly of metal, and a large belt can be seen around a wheel at left. Metal filings cover the floor around the machine. At right, two more men inspect stacks of the metal cylinders that are piled high on several wooden tables. The floor and walls of the factory are made from wooden boards.
