Description
Photograph caption dated November 18, 1964 reads "Jim Piersall, the Los Angeles Angels outfielder, mives (sic) racing outboard into position for test run at Long Beach Harbor as he prepares to act as copilot in the Lake Havasu City Outboard World Championships, Nov. 28-29 on the Colorado River. Checking him out is Earl Palmer, executive director of the Western Outboard Association, sponsor of the race." The boat is a McCulloch powered racing boat.
