Description
Construction of the 100-inch telescope observatory building, as seen from the 150-foot telescope tower, Mount Wilson Observatory. Photograph was taken with a 24' lens. The steel framing for the observatory dome is visible, with steel sheathing below it. Scaffolding surrounds the concrete foundation. Trees surround the construction site. The San Gabriel Mountains are in the background.
