Photograph of an exterior view of the Saint Charles Hotel on North Main Street in Los Angeles, ca.1926. The hotel is at center and is a three-story building with a flat roof. The upper two stories each have a row of three arched windows and a fire escape ladder connects the middle window on each. The bottom floor is occupied by a restaurant. There is a two-story building at left and a tall building at right. There are several people crowded on the sidewalk in front of the hotel, and an early model pickup truck is parked at left. Legible signs include, from left to right, "L.E. [...]Son 318", "316 New Queen Restaurant 316", and "314 314", "Diamond[s]".
