Lockheed Air Terminal has had many names: United Airport (1930-1934); Union Air Terminal (1934-1940); Lockheed Air Terminal (1940-1967); Hollywood-Burbank Airport (1967-1978); Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport (1978-2003) and Bob Hope Airport (2003-). Photograph caption dated April 15, 1954 reads, "Newest member of United Airlines' '100,000 Mile Club' is Hal Fisher, Columbia Pictures location manager, who accepts membership plaque from Gil Leiendecker, airline official, as, appropriately, he prepares to fly out of Lockheed Air Terminal. Fisher, who accompanies all Columbia location troupes, is headed for West Point with Actress Maureen O'Hara and Actor Ward Bond for filming of 'The Long Gray Line.'"
