"The 'candy man', whose horn would signal all the neighborhood children to come and watch him blow and shape all sorts of wonderful animals out of colored molasses. Note bound feet on the little girls."
Captions for this set of lantern slides from the papers of Oliver and Jennie Logan, American Presbyterian missionaries in Hunan, were provided by their daughter Elsa.
