Description
Interior view of the third location of the First Congregational Church, located on the corner of Third & Hill streets. This large auditorium seats hundreds and includes a large pipe organ, seen in the background. On each side of the organ is a phrase; on the left it reads, "Looking unto Jesus, author and finisher of our Father" and on the right, "He is Risen" which with the flowers seen throughout, indicates that this photograph was taken around Easter time.; Two lots for the church building were purchased for $52,000 in 1889. When the church was sold in 1905, the building alone was worth $76,000.
