Description
J. Ward Blakely (in dark jacket) and a few employees of Blakely Bros., a painting contractor and interior decoration firm, load a pick-up truck with redecorated toys that were donated by good Samaritans, and which will be given out to the poor children of Los Angeles during Christmas. Blakely Bros. donated their time and materials to refinish the discarded items, which they made look as good as new. A sign on the back of the truck reads: "Blakely Bros. Decorators. 1168 No. Western Ave. GL3060". Photo dated: December 19, 1930.
