Connie and Roy begin the interview discussing Roy’s background and the establishment of the Neuberger Museum, and his legacy as a curator of American art. Roy proceeds to discuss how he values and appraises art, and how an experienced, trained eye is the most important attribute for assessing art. He then talks about Jackson Pollock and discusses his affinity for Pollock’s work before moving on to a discussion of the other works he’s collected throughout his career. Connie and Roy then discuss his investment pursuits, and the idea and practice of selling museum art. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
