Photograph caption dated October 31, 1959 reads, "To Appear on Nov. 1 Horse Show -- San Fernando rancher Ed Gill is shown with his 1959 Grand Champion mare, "Triple Threat," registered quarter horse Gill plans to show in Valley's first Quarter Horse Show Nov. 1. Also admiring mare is Mrs. Gill, sitting on fence, and daughter Andrea at their ranch, 12443 Pacoima Canyon Rd. To be judged by Glen Casey of Amarillo, Texas, show will be held at 12340 Foothill Blvd., San Fernando, with halter, working, pleasure, reining and cutting classes featured. Information regarding entering of quarter horses may be obtained by calling EMpire 9-5770."
