Photograph caption dated August 31, 1957 reads, "Corridor in emergency wing of Northridge Hospital is crowded with injured from bus collision as they wait turn for emergency treatment. Hospital was thrown into emergency status as extra doctors and nurses were called in. Three ambulances rolled to crash scene."
