Photograph caption dated October 4, 1961 reads "Pete Beathard, USC's outstanding sophomore quarterback, left, gives Reseda High's quarterback Greg Olmstead expert instructions on how to pass football while John Ogden, Reseda fullback, looks on. This all happened yesterday at Valley Trojan Club meeting where Beathard was mighty optimistic about Saturday's outcome against powerful Iowa in the Coliseum."
