The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on June 14, 1965 states: "One of the many colorful dances performed during the annual Bear Dance celebration in Janesville, Lassen County, is shown here as the various Indian tribes join in the ceremony, which was held for the fourth time yesterday."
