Original print is damaged. Photograph caption dated July 14, 1949 partially reads, "Julian Beck and A. A. Weaver were presented with the Lancaster Junior Chamber of Commerce Community Service award at the Pre-Pet Parade barbecue last night. The award was the first of its kind to be made by the local chamber. Judge William D. Keller gave Beck the award for his active work in representing Antelope Valley in the legislature. Weaver received his as a token of thanks from the chamber members after serving 14 years in J. C. activities. Weaver was commended by Keller for his work on securing a sewer system for Lancaster."
