Description
A panoramic photo of the first Muir Woods Inn, with Montgomery Engine #1 in the foreground. Camp Alice Eastwood parking lot was located to the right of the picture. When this Inn burned in 1913, the track was extended about a half mile down the grade and a new inn erected there. It closed in 1930, when the railway itself was closed. A handwritten note on back says, "#1 Montgomery, Ruth Murphy "RM"". (See also: MVN1189, MVN1192, and MVN1465A (close up of MVN1189 - Railroad Stations - Muir Woods Inn)
