John Parsons, explosives expert of the California Institute of Technology, is shown on May 6, 1938, at the Earle Kynette trial holding sample bomb which he made and was to display before the jurors. From a study of evidence, he made the "bomb" as a replica of the one used to blow up Harry Raymond. It is made of waterpipe.
