Photograph caption dated May 13, 1961 reads, "Same Beachwood drive house after flames is scene of broken memories." The article partially reads, "Shifting winds today alternately helped and threatened 500 exhausted firemen battling a 1,200-acre brush fire in the Hollywood Hills which destroyed 24 homes and damaged 30 others....The blaze erupted at 7:43 p.m. Friday near Hollyridge avenue and Beachwood Canyon drive in the Griffith Park area....The fire was still burning today towards Burbank and Glendale on a northern-north-eastern-northwestern line in the vicinity of Mt.
