Description
Shown in circa 1995 is the home of the Folsom History Museum, housed in a former Wells Fargo assay office and bank and located at 823 Sutter Street. Built in 1860, the structure was refurbished between 1976 and 1990. The museum is supported by the Folsom Historical Society which was founded in 1960, resulting from an effort to save the Wells Fargo building from being replaced by a gas station.
