Description
This appears to be a Western Electric 308B vacuum tube, or one extremely similar in design, designed for use as an audio-frequency amplifier or as a radio-frequency oscillator or amplifier. This particular tube was rebuilt by the California Tube Laboratory in Santa Cruz, California, and has been stamped 008002 on the glass. No original manufacturing information can be seen on the tube. Tubes were rebuilt in many cases to replace broken filaments, and would have been taken apart in order to rebuild them.
