Description
View of the bluffs above the beach in Santa Monica, California, with a rustic wood fence bordering the California Incline road and in front of palm trees in Palisades Park above. There are century plants in the center, and the mountains in background.
Title devised by cataloger; date approximated by cataloger based on history of the Long Wharf (not visible in distance), which was dismantled in 1920, and the California Incline, which was paved in 1930. Back of photograph has writing "Santa Monica" and is stamped "Photo by Adelbert Bartlett 535 15th Street Santa Monica Calif." and "By courtesy of Carolyn Bartlett Farnham, Santa Monica, California."
