Exterior view of the Robertson Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, located at 1719 S. Robertson Blvd., between Airdome and 18th Streets. There is a display case in the center of the image that contains a banner that reads, "Books invite all, they constrain none". At the time of its construction in 1953, it was said that the 4,000 square ft. library had a modern, functional feel and could hold 17,000 books. The building was designed by Allison and Rible and lasted until the mid-1990s, when it was razed to make way for a larger branch.
