Image of an eye-level scene of the stable yard of the Woodruff Stables owned by horse dealer and trainer Hiram Woodruff in the Bronx, New York, with men standing, on horseback, and driving carriages and two dogs; handwritten and printed labels in the lower margin identify the center horse as Lady Emma and four of the men as Hiram Woodruff and Brewster and Company partners Henry Brewster, James W. Lawrence, and Jonathan W. Britton; a black man wearing a fez tends to a horse in the left corner of the image.
