Used in the Exhibit: Play by Play - A Century of L.A. Sports Photography, 1899-1989.
New York Giants' linebacker Lawrence Taylor, enduring the annual ritual known as "Media Day," at Orange Coast College. Five days later, the Giants won their first Super Bowl, defeating the Denver Broncos at the Rose Bowl, 39-20. Five years later, the Super Bowl would return to Pasadena--the last time the game has been played in the Southland. Photo dated: January 20, 1987.
