Description
The Valley to Vietnam series, produced by Sacramento Public Library, traces the arc of experience of Vietnam era veterans living in the Sacramento, California area. Tom McTernan grew up in the post-World War II splendor of suburban Sacramento, but soon found his way to the U.S. Marines and the Vietnam War. His candid discussion on the expectations piled upon the young G.I. and Marine and the toll of PTSD make for an informative episode.
