Description
"The first lots in the Monrovia Tract were sold on May 17, 1886, a day we now celebrate each year as Monrovia Day. By the end of that year Myrtle Ave, the principal Street, appeared as shown in this photograph. A small railway extended about one mile south to the Sant Fe depot and was drawn by a team of mules."
