Description
Photograph of the Port of Los Angeles at the San Pedro Harbor, Los Angeles, ca.1905. Several modest, one-story rancher-style buildings line the left side of the road near the harbor. Railroad tracks can be seen embedded in the road, and a locomotive engine is visible stopped in the center foreground. A number of barrel kegs are strew near a bush behind it. Flat palate carts and stacks of lumber are evident in the background. Dead man's Island can be seen beyond the unfinished breakwater in the distance. The buildings of the Morgan Oyster Co. and the Western Fish Co. appear in the center.
