In 1905 the property was deeded to Leonard Briemle who, according to a 1907 city directory was the proprietor of a duck and chicken hatchery. Briemle's property was later known as the Pacific Duck Ranch. The property was also known as the Ward Ranch and later, as the Brody Ranch. GNIS Exact geocoding 17 Katherine J.
