Title supplied by cataloger. Lafayette Park is a public park within the Westlake district of Los Angeles and is bordered by Wilshire Boulevard to the south and Commonwealth to the west. Originally named Sunset Park, Lafayette Park was donated to the city on December 4, 1899 by Mrs. Clara R. Shatto, and consists of 11 acres. The architectural firm of Walker and Eisen built the Arcady Hotel, located across from Lafayette Park at 2619 Wilshire Boulevard, in 1927. In this picture we have a view looking east across the walks and well manicured lawns and trees of Lafayette Park. In the center background is The Arcady apartment building, and to its left is Asbury Apartments. A foot path runs across the bottom of the picture.; Photograph similar to image #00009997.
