Photograph caption dated December 7, 1959 reads, "Centuries old manger depicting birth of Christ is provided Bethlehem Star Parade by float entry from Congregational Church of Chimes. Two live sheep tethered in manger and two shepherds standing by lend to Biblical atmosphere of scene. Mary and Joseph, at rear, are portrayed as they attended infant Saviour." The church, at 14115 Magnolia Boulevard, is in Sherman Oaks.
