Photograph caption dated January 18, 1957 reads "These Van Nuys High School football players received awards for outstanding performances during the 1956 undefeated season at big banquet last night at McKinley Home. They are, left, Jerry Mollett, outstanding back; Denny Martin, outstanding lineman; John MacAdam, coaches' award; Gordon Hjelmstrom, most inspirational player, and Bill Daley, most valuable player. Over 400 parents and guests paid tribute to the great Wolf team and heard Jess Hill, former USC coach, speak." McKinley Home is in Sherman Oaks.
