This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written under photo: "Corner of Polk and McAllister Street 1907." Photo shows three-story building with a corner tower (in which clocks have yet to be installed) at the southwest corner of Polk and McAllister. This is where the City Hall now stands. This structure is occupied by Heald's Business College, the Sunset Garage , Pan-American Motors Co., and the temporary homes of the Maxwell and the Winton 6. Several autos are parked on the Polk Street side of the building. Car tracks and overhead wires are seen on McAllister.
