Photograph caption dates June 11, 1942 reads, "The suspects, Bacile, left and Gonzales, janitor of the theater, are shown at their hearing. They assertedly worked out a 'sure thing' system of cash night winning in which they couldn't lose, with Gonzales getting the tickets for nothing." The pair was charged with grand theft in an asserted plot to stuff a ballot wheel in a downtown theater in hopes of winning a 500 dollar prize.
