Description: Dave Alvin performing with fellow band members of the musical group "X", at The Echo Club in Echo Park, California. In 1979, Dave along with his older brother Phil, formed the rock group The Blasters, but left the group in 1986. Shortly after, he joined the group X as lead guitarist. Apart from being an accomplished guitarist, he is also a singer, songwriter, and author. Alvin has had at least two poetry books published. Photo dated: October 10, 2004.
