Description: View of the San Gabriel Dam site, August 21, 1928. Photo shows the site in San Gabriel canyon of the dam, which will be 435 feet high and the tallest in the world. The picture is taken looking south, down the dry canyon which will be turned into a great lake by the giant structure. Five years will be required to build the dam. E. Eaton is Chief engineer.
