Eugène Casalis
Portrait of Eugène Casalis (1812-1891) : Founder of the Protestant Mission of Lesotho from 1833 till 1855. Director of the Société des missions évangéliques de Paris (Paris evangelical missionary society) from 1856 till 1882. It is known for its role in the ethnography of Lesotho and the linguistics of the Setswana language.
