Photograph caption dated September 24, 1963 reads "Mrs. Elizabeth Raabe, left, and Mrs. Dean Thomas, center, both of Sherman Oaks, were among 72 Valley branch Red Cross volunteers honored Monday at the branch's annual awards luncheon in Van Nuys. Presenting the awards was Mrs. O. C. Welbourn, vice chairman of awards and recognition for the Los Angeles Red Cross chapter. Mrs. Raabe and Mrs. Dean received 20-year service awards."
