Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
Photograph caption dated February 6, 1984 reads, "Susan Patricia Wan, w20, of Placentia bested a field of 16 beauties and was crowned Miss Los Angeles Chinatown in this, the Year of the Rat. The ceremony took place in the packed ballroom at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Chinatown might have been a more appropriate setting, especially since the pageant is a featured event in local Chinese New Year celebrations. However, it seems there's no auditorium in Chinatown with nearly enough space to hold the crowd. Rats."
